At present, most of the technologies used in China to generate electricity using gas are gas turbines, internal combustion engines, and oxidation power generation. The gas concentration associated with each coal mine varies, with some coal mines having relatively high gas concentrations, even exceeding 30%, and others below 1%. For high concentration gas, its extraction method is through high-strength negative pressure extraction, or by drilling wells on the ground for extraction. However, most of the samples extracted through coal mine ventilation systems or with different negative pressures have relatively low concentrations. In addition, gas turbines and high-precision internal combustion engines are technologies used in high concentration gas power generation, while high-precision internal combustion engines are used in low concentration gas power generation. Low concentration gas power generation is achieved by mixing high concentration gas and then heating it to generate electricity in catalytic oxidation equipment.
